a return from a brief repose

god damnit. so, bleeugggggh. a lot can happen in a month! a lot has happened. in small, determined steps. but nevertheless!

things of interest lately:

-jordan catalano
-weed
-paris blues (which ties in with something else i will post about at a later date, regarding my stepmom's store and my possible involvement with...things. okay that was cryptic.)
-dune
-kyle maclachlan (always)

and the following music!

happy birthday brian wilson!

this melts me

stand by me

every time i hear ben e. king's "stand by me" now, i cringe because of that bachata version done by prince royce. i can't stand ANY VERSION of it now, and it got me thinking about other songs that i once enjoyed but no longer do because of their shiteous covers. particularly the beatles' "come together" (thanks to aerosmith) and the monkees' "i'm a believer" (thanks to smash mouth). i know there are others, but i'm lazy. feel free to supplement.
