when the blues hit

a mid life crisis that lasts 20 minutes and then all resolve is forgotten and complacency returns. 

for once when somebody i haven't spoken to in months or years asks how i am or what's new, i would like to have something interesting or different to report

When my friend Augusta turned 11, I made her a copy of "The White Album" on cassette tape and bought her some Bonne Belle lipsmackers. I thought it was the best gift because it was exactly what I would have wanted. Her dad thought it was cool. She was nonplussed.

thoughts on my wedding

I just had a funny memory of my brother Louie being a kid and losing his Tamagotchi. When he eventually found it under the couch several weeks later, it had "died" of starvation. He cried.

I learned a new expression today. "Wu wei." It is Taoist and means to do by not doing. I like that.

rewatched singles last night. i'm more like bridget fonda's character than i realized.
